Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible for Medicare if:

  • Age 65 or older and U.S. citizen or permanent resident for 5+ years
  • Under 65 with a qualifying disability (after 24 months on SSDI)
  • Any age with End-Stage Renal Disease or ALS
  • Eligible for Social Security or Railroad Retirement benefits

How to Apply

If you receive Social Security benefits, you will be automatically enrolled at 65. Otherwise, enroll during your Initial Enrollment Period at medicare.gov or by calling 1-800-MEDICARE.
